The Gifts of Imperfection
Brené Brown
About this book
Brené Brown identifies ten guideposts for wholehearted living — ways of engaging with the world from a place of worthiness rather than shame. Courage, compassion, and connection, she argues, require the willingness to be imperfect and vulnerable.
Key themes
- Worthiness as the foundation of wholehearted living
- The role of shame resilience in authentic connection
- Courage, compassion, and connection as the three C's
- How perfectionism blocks creativity and engagement
- Rest and play as spiritual practices, not indulgences
